About BTCI

Brighter Tomorrows Consulting Institute started in 2010 under Ms. Shannon Eller, LPC,LMFT. Shannon began seeing the need for counselor trainings in the area while she was teaching. She developed and presented her first trainings Addictions: Pushing Through the Resistance to Change and Addictions: Family Involvement Enablement vs. Support at the UGA Griffin campus in the spring of 2010. From there she was called on to create more trainings such as Art of the Sandtray, Play Therapy: Puppetry Arts and Playtherapy: Storytelling. Shannon started presenting these trainings once a month. As popularity grew Shannon was invited to present all over the state.

In October of 2010, Shannon opened up her first small counseling office Brighter Tomorrows Consulting at 1857 West Mcintosh rd. Griffin, GA 30223. While working as a full-time counselor, supervisor and presenting trainings Shannon felt there was still something missing. Shannon's love for teaching and her interest in substance abuse education led her to research ways in which she could help fellow colleagues become accredited to counsel.

In the spring of 2011 Shannon began teaching a small addictions class for individuals of all levels to become licensed Addictions Counselors. The class was an instant hit and grew from a few students to upwards of 30 people a class. From there Shannons love for counseling and teaching thrived, leading her to become accredited to teach the Marriage and Family Coursework and the Play Therapy Coursework through the Composite Board. Brighter Tomorrows Consulting has now grown from a small  one-room counseling office serving a few clients to a massive double suite counseling office serving upwards of over 40 clients per day. With the help of Shannon's counseling and administrative team, Brighter Tomorrows Consulting and Brighter Tomorrows Institute have become a powerhouse in the field of counseling.
